17u National Team Wins The Impact World Series

Impact World Series Champions at Boshamer Stadium,

The Richmond Braves National 17U team won the Impact World Series at Boshamer Stadium, home of the UNC Tar Heels.  The Braves went 6-1 at the event which featured 70 teams from 11 states.  They went 3-1 in pool play and advanced to the playoffs as the last wild card by only allowing 5 runs in pool play.  As the 9th seed, they went on to defeat the #1 seed and nationally recognized Dirtbags 2-1, SBA Canes 2015 Black 6-2 (who the Braves lost to in pool play 4-3 despite only allowing 1 hit) and the Carolina Ravens 2014 Blue 5-1 (went 7-1 at the event) in the Championship game.
The 2014 Braves once again received contributions from all 22 players that attended.  They scored 53 runs on 76 hits in 7 games while only allowing 9 runs on 18 hits.  They now sport a 28-3-2 record on the season and have reached the Championship game in 5 of 6 tournaments.  This group is very talented and are the true meaning of “TEAM”.  They compete at a high level nationally each time they step on the field and play for each other.  OUTSTANDING JOB BRAVES!
