Darin Campbell
Coach Darrin Campbell was born and raised in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio. He attended St. Edward all boys’ private Catholic High School where he was named to the All-State baseball team before accepting a scholarship from the University of Michigan.
In his sophomore season, he was named to the “Wheaties Tournament of Champions-All Tournament Team” as well as being named to the “All Big Ten All Tournament Team.” Additionally, Campbell played in the nationally known Cape Cod Summer Baseball League where he was chosen as an All-Star. During his junior season, he went on to make it to the “All Big Ten Team” and was named as one of Baseball America’s Top Prospects. After his junior year, he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox. Coach Campbell played professionally for 8 years with the Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Indians.
