We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are excited about the New Year. 2015 brings a fresh start with much to be excited. High School baseball starts in less than 2 months and we have much to do in preparation.

Braves Regional Training
Braves skills clinics will be in VA Sports Complex’s Fieldhouse on Saturday, January 17th and February 7th. The schedule is:
Catchers and outfielders 10 – 12
Bunting 12:30 – 1:00
Baserunning 1 – 1:45
Middle and corner infielding 2 – 4
Player Tracker Testing will be on Sunday, January 18th and February 8th in VA Sports Complex’s Fieldhouse. We have instated a new player tracker system to keep each players skills number ie. 60, velo, pop, etc. It will also have players seasonal stats through Gamechanger. Each time a player participates in a Braves tryout/evaluation, his numbers will be updated into his profile. This profile will only be accessed by Braves staff, parents and coach. This allows us to follow a players development and have up to date stats for the college coaches.
The testing will be done by age eligibility (not grad year). 14U will start at 11:00, 15U at 11:30, 16U at 12:00 and 17U at 1:30. It will take about 2 hours per age from start time. Bring turfs, cleats and clothes to possibly go outside for 40 and 60 times.
We will be raffling off 2 Richmond Braves/Marucci wood bats. Your attendance is your entry to win. Marucci staff will be on hand Sunday, January 18th to promote and demonstrate the Marucci products. The Braves store will also be open each day at VA Sports Complex.
We will have tryouts Sunday, January 18th and and February 8th at 1:00 pm at VSC Fieldhouse. Refer a player that makes a team and receive a $25 credit off your player fees.
