The 12u Braves won the Triple Crown Nationals!
The Richmond Braves 12U Majors coached by Ty Rivers and Tommy DeMartini culminated an impressive 5 day run in Myrtle Beach by winning the 2015 Triple Crown Summer Nationals Championship. The Braves recorded a 7-1 record through pool and double elimination play. During pool play, the Braves defeated teams from Florida and New Jersey and suffered their only loss to a team from North Carolina (4-3). Carrying the #5 overall seed, the Braves eliminated the #4 seed (Virginia Young Gunz), the #1 seed (Team Virginia), and ultimately the #2 seed (North Florida Hurricanes Elite) in the championship game. This 12U Braves team has consistently faced elite competition throughout the year; always facing the opposing teams’ best arms. Steady improvement, outstanding effort, and great individual growth across the entire roster resulted in this week’s impressive performance.
